Among the mysteries surrounding Jeffery Epstein, the first is, if there were thousands of victims, as has now been verified, then why only two indictments? And, why was a serial child sex offender only given a 13 month sentence with daytime work release in a law-and-order state like Florida when he first got busted in 2008? And, why did he and pals, including Prince Andrew, return to business as usual without much worry after? And why did it take authorities another decade to bag him a second time?

Prince Andrew accuser's legal deal with Jeffrey Epstein released

Speaking of business, that opens another question: just what, precisely, did Epstein do to get so rich? If he was running an ultra-expensive pedophile brothel, then why were no charges brought against his clients? And, if he was actually running an investment strategy, then what was it? Surely, a pair of junior KPMG forensic accountants could have made sense of his books within months, yet, it has been six years. Between Epstein’s endless travels, the demands of his hyperactive sex life, and the necessary commitment to recruiting victims, plus the fact that he worked alone, his financial undertakings really couldn’t have been that complex; he just wouldn't have had time for all that. But, instead, Forbes reported, and just three weeks ago (25-Jul-2025):

The full origins of Epstein’s wealth remain shrouded in mystery…

We know everything about how Madoff ripped off investors, spanning decades. We also know exactly why Enron went bust, and Lehman. A whole book has been written about the fall of Long Term Capital Management, perhaps the most complex collapse in history, yet, for some reason, no one can seem to divine what this guy was doing? That doesn’t add up.

Another thing not making any sense: how a guy with no college degree got a job teaching at Dalton, one of New York City’s most prestigious prep schools. And this is where the trail of intelligence agency fingerprints begins to build, as well as a spate of suspicious, untimely deaths, all culminating in a string of unlikely coincidences, the sum of which I am too old to believe is just a coincidence.

Dalton’s headmaster at the time of Epstein’s hire was Donald Barr, who served in the OSS, the US’s first intelligence agency, during World War II.

After Dalton, Barr, interestingly, wrote a science fiction novel, Space Relations, about a future in which oligarchs live on a planet reserved for engaging in child sex slavery. Sounds familiar.

Wikipedia just casually mentions this coincidence:

It has been noted that the plot of the novel anticipates the crimes of Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

You don’t say.

Donald Barr had four children. Among them was William P. Barr, who served as the 77th U.S. Attorney General under George H. W. Bush and as the 85th U.S. Attorney General in the first Trump Administration.
